Heat in the Kitchen Luncheons

In 2009, the FPCC Board of Management launched a luncheon series called "Heat in the Kitchen". Superbly organised by Mark Dunsford, attendances at the eleven luncheons over the past three seasons have regularly exceeded 80 people. Past players, sponsors, families and friends of current players and FPCC members have all enjoyed the dedicated opportunity to enjoy the quality facilities at Jubilee Park.

Guests of the luncheons receive a great time to socialise while watching elite cricket in a setting involving a two course lunch, quality wines, high profile guest speakers, prizes, auction items and much more.

Guest speakers at past luncheons have included:
Nathan Thompson (former Hawthorn & North Melbourne AFL footballer),
John Moloney (experienced horse trainer),
Darren Berry (former first class cricketer),
Sam Kekovich (former North Melbourne VFL footballer, media personality),
Damian Fleming (former Australian Cricketer, sports commentator),
Gerard Daffy (online betting pioneer),
Steven King (former Geelong premiership footballer),
Bruce Billson (Federal Politician),
Austinn Jones (former St Kilda AFL footballer),
Doug Hawkins (iconic AFL footballer with Footscray),
Andrew Rule (well respected crime journalist and author of “Underbelly" series),
Tony Noonan (Mornington Horse Trainer),
Tony Dodemaide (Cricket Victoria CEO, former Test Cricketer),
Stephen Phillips (former voice of Channel 7 football),
Tony Jewell (Richmond premiership player and coach),
Adrian Butler (former councilor who was instrumental in the development of the A.H.Butler Oval),
Alan Wickes (former VFL and VFA footballer),
Greg Brown (Essendon Football and Cricket Premiership Player),
Ken Piesse (radio journalist and cricket book author) and
Shaun Graf (GM Cricket Operations - Cricket Victoria, former Australian Cricketer).

All came from different backgrounds with different stories to tell, and have been quite fascinating to listen to throughout the Heat in the Kitchen series.
