Frankston Peninsula Cricket Club (FPCC) is delighted to announce the appointment of Keith Jansz as Senior Coach.
Following an extensive process involving multiple highly credentialed candidates, the club is excited to have secured the services of Keith, considering his extensive experience and skill set.
FPCC President Dennis Prendergast commented that “it is great to have Keith return to the club to take charge and lead our exciting young playing group.”
“Keith has well developed knowledge of the region, and will expand on his experience and what he has learnt and from his many previous high performance roles to challenge our playing group to achieve greater skill development and outcomes”, Prendergast said.
Jansz comes to the club with a Level 3 National Coaching Accreditation and is currently the coach of Victorian Country Women’s Cricket Team and the Victorian Indigenous Women’s Cricket Team.
With significant familiarity of the club already, Jansz returns to FPCC after earlier guiding the club to its maiden 1st XI Grand Final appearance in 2002/03.
“I am extremely happy to be back involved in Men’s Premier Cricket with people I already know and considerably trust,” Jansz said.
“It is very exciting to be working with an exciting and talented group of players and I look forward to implementing strategies and methods to take the group to the next level,” Jansz continued.
Jansz has recently managed high performance roles in major colleges in Sri Lanka, following roles as coach of Melbourne Cricket Club (Women’s Division), Springvale South in the DDCA and Hawthorn – Monash University in 2011/12 to 2012/13.
A 1st XI cricketer with Prahran between 1980/81 to 1986/87, Jansz also has held other significant high performance roles to boost his experience and skill set, including a State selector and Specialist Coach of Vic Spirit, Coach of Victorian Women U17’s and U19’s, Chairman of Selectors for Victorian Women U15’s & U17’s and State Selector of Victorian Men’s U19’s.
Confirmation of the remainder of the coaching structure will be announced very shortly, with the expectation that it will match very closely with the existing structure. The club will continue to actively pursue and further build on the current playing list.
